- **Event Description**: Enjoy a day of paddling and picking up litter on the Maquoketa River on Saturday August 15, from 9:00am-2:00pm. Volunteers will help Jackson County Conservation by paddling and picking up litter as we go.  We will meet at the Canton River Access before paddling to Buzzard Ridge Wildlife area to have lunch before ending at the Millertown river access and shuttling back.

Please bring a water bottle and a cold lunch along with clothes that can get wet and muddy.  This event is geared ages 12+, kids must be accompanied and monitored by an adult.  JCC staff will bring water bags to hold the litter that is collected.

Registration is required by August 13th.  There is a limited number of kayaks/canoes. In the event of inclement weather the event will be canceled.  Registration needs to be done online at https://3common.com/maqriverpickup (link in the comments).
