- **Event Description**: The Mississippi Flyway is a major migration route for over 325 bird species.

Help us identify what bird species are utilizing this route. The Eastern Iowa Flyway Classic will run the entire month of May, during peak migration, this month-long event challenges teams to find and identify as many bird species as possible throughout all counties along the Eastern part of Iowa (counties that border the Mississippi River).

The Flyway Classic is open to all ages, abilities, and experience levels. Teams up to four are allowed. The winning team will earn ultimate bragging rights and will be announced on Dubuque County Conservation and Jackson County Conservation Facebooks. 

Registration Registration is required. During registration, you’ll enter your team name and be prompted to list all team members. To sign up, visit the Dubuque County Conservation events page at  https://secure.rec1.com/IA/dubuque-county-ia/catalog 

Information on how to upload bird sightings will be provided upon registration.
