Which is why we are so happy to be welcoming Chef Moreno Borghini - joining us from the Altopiemonte region of Italy. Chef Moreno is a Domodossola native who began his culinary career at just 14 and has honed his craft in top restaurants and luxury hotels across Northern Italy and Switzerland for nearly two decades. A certified sommelier, he ran the acclaimed Sole Luna wine bar for 14 years before joining Altropiemonte, where he now curates immersive Piemontese food and wine experiences at Casa Ersilia. So, to say it is an hour to have Chef Moreno joining us is a bit of an understatement!!Joining us as well will be Meredith Sutch, sommelier with Tavolo Vigneto. Meredith has become quite the familiar face her at the shop as she leads tastings and dinner showcasing some incredible Italian and Swiss wines. Meredith is a wealth of knowledge, and we hope you take advantage of her years of experience to ask your most in-depth questions about wine during this event!We don't have the menu quite yet, but Chef Moreno it'll be five of the favorites of his region - Risotto, Polenta, and Porcini's will be highlighted and paired with 5 wines from the ancient volcanic soils of this famous wine region at the base of the Alps!Chef's schedule only allows us to have him with us on a Monday night, but we hope that won't keep you from coming out and joining us for all the fun, food, and flavor! This is the day after Mother's Day and tickets to this event would make a great gift for Mom!!
