- **Event Description**: Come join the Service Squad’s volunteer sample service day kick off where we will be working on three sewing projects with a big impact for those in need. 

	* Project Linus provides handmade blankets to children 0-18 in the United States who are seriously ill, traumatized, or otherwise in need.
	*Days for Girls works to eliminate the stigma and limitations associated with menstruation so that women and girls have improved health, education and livelihoods.
	* Flannel hearts for NICU centers provide comfort to preemies through the scent of their family, which helps with development and sensory stimulation.

We'll provide all the supplies but feel free to bring your favorite pair of scissors, thread, flannel fabric, and/or a sewing machine from home.

Many hands make light work so all are welcome; young, old, and any skill levels! Pop in at any time and work at your pace for however long you can join us for.

*** We meet every second Thursday at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Four Corners. When you arrive head through the main doors and take a left down the long hallway and follow the Service Squad signs. We will be in the room at the very end of the hall.***
