The Baby Backyard 5K-50K ULTRA is a community fun run with a focus on community, philanthropy, and achieving fitness goals. All of our race registrations are donated to the Children's Minnesota Kids Cancer Fund.
What is a "Baby Backyard?"
Our format is simple: Run a 5K every hour, for 10 hours to achieve a 50K Ultra finish.
The 5K course is open to you for 10 hours. You are welcome to run as much, or as little, as you'd like in that 10 hours. Start and stop as needed.
We will kick off the event with a mass start at 7am. Then every hour, on the hour, we will kick off another 5K.
You can stick to the 5K an hour challenge and work toward a personal goal, up to 50K. You can show up at noon and run a couple laps and hang out. Come by for the last hour and run the victory lap. Whatever you want. If you're really ULTRA, you have the option to just keep running for the entire event! Try to reset the course record? :)
This is a NO DNF event. So, the distance you cover is up to you. Your goal for the day is our goal! We're here to help you achieve your best!
At 5K, you are an official finisher! But, I'm sure you've got one more in you! :)
