The Give Thanks Family Fun Walk & Cook-Off is an interactive, relaxing, self-paced gratitude walk designed for walkers of ALL ages.
Friends and families slow down, connect, have meaningful conversations, and participate in fun activities together, creating memories that last a lifetime!
Along the walk you’ll find:
✨ A Community Art Mural Walk
✨ Cultural craft stations
✨ Family fitness challenges & mini obstacle courses
✨ Professional family photo ops
✨ Wellness & mindfulness activities
✨ “Planting in Honor” tribute station
We’ll kick off with a Bites of Thanks Taste-Off 🍴 and wrap up with an End Zone Celebration featuring music, vendor booths, turkey giveaways, and prizes for the best-dressed walkers (yes, turkeys welcome 🦃).
ABOUT OUR NON PROFIT BENEFICIARY: Kids’ Meals:
Each and every day Kids Meals prepares 9,000 and 13,000 meals, and delivers them across 56 Houston & Montgomery County zip codes to toddlers in dire need of food at the cost of $2 per meal (including delivery) thanks to our incredible partners.
Since 2016 we have provided over 17 million healthy meals to children 1-5 years old at critical stages of brain and body development.
WHY IT MATTERS
There are over 100,000 toddlers in food insecure homes that need our help!
Our goal is to "take over" (1) full day of service for Kids Meals and feed 9,000 children.
At a cost of $2 per meal that is a fundraising goal of $18,000.
