The Bentley Effect documentary:
A powerful documentary about the growth of the social movement that blocked the incursion of Coal Seam Gas exploration into the Northern Rivers. The film is a celebration of the power of ordinary people to stand up to and defeat corporate forces intent on steamrolling community wishes. 

Filmed over five years, The Bentley Effect documents the highs and lows of the battle to keep a unique part of Australia gasfield-free. This timely story of a community’s heroic stand shows that peaceful protest and non-violent direct action can not only overcome industrial might and political short-sightedness ... but it can also be a lot of fun.

This highly acclaimed film chronicles and celebrates one of the fastest-growing and most creative social movements we have ever witnessed, posing the question ‘what is truly valuable?’

Make Big Polluters Pay campaign:
Celebrating a nationwide community launch week, we'd like to take the opportunity to introduce our community to this burgeoning climate justice campaign growing all around Australia.  As the Bentley Effect shows us, when we are passionate and organised we can build the power to overcome even the most entrenched and poweful industries!

Help us grow our movement calling for big polluters to pay their fair share and for increased funding for climate resilience and adaptation. 

Because We, the people, should NOT be the ones paying for the cost of recovery.
