About the event

Wreaths Across America

East Union Cemetery is honored to be chosen by Manteca City Ambassador Nihar Jain to host the very first Wreaths Across America Project at our historic grounds. This heartfelt initiative will pay tribute to the 480+ veterans laid to rest at East Union Cemetery.

On December 13th, following a noon ceremony, beautiful Christmas wreaths will be lovingly placed on each veteran’s grave, and every veteran’s name will be read aloud in remembrance and gratitude.

We are also pleased to continue our tradition of placing tea lights throughout the cemetery during the Christmas season—an illuminating gesture of honor and reflection.
