- **Event Description**: Enjoy a 3 Day/2 Night one-of-a-kind backpacking adventure in eastern Connecticut's pristine woodlands and the Last Green Valley! This easy to moderate 43.5 mile loop backpacking trip connects two major blue blaze hiking trails, greenways and more. It will offer a deeper connection to ourselves, nature, each other and the communities through which we travel. Highlights include: Pixie Falls, Mansfield Hollow, a section of the 400+ year old Connecticut Path, pine forests, rock formations, state forests and more. This trip will bring us to a quieter portion of the state where over 100 miles of pathway exploration and solitude are just a few of the rewards.

This trip will include educational segments on skills, but our primary objective will be an exciting adventure. It is open to all though you will most likely find it suitable if you are:

- Beginner backpacker who has a high level of fitness

- Intermediate backpacker who wants to improve skills and modernize gear

- Advanced backpacker wanting to hone in on specifics and have an adventure in the mountains

Other considerations for this trip:

- You should enjoy hiking at a relatively fast pace and enjoy more time on the trail than at camp

- You look forward to climbing and descending peaks, passes and ridgelines

- You are comfortable carrying a 20+ lb pack for 15 - 20 miles a day

Group size is 5. RSVP is required. Registration closes on September 10, 2026. Waiver/Assumption of Risk documents are required before participation and can be signed electronically or in person the day of this trip. This event will be held rain or shine.

- 5 Star backpacking guiding and instruction

- Individual gear rentals including tent, sleeping pad, sleeping bag, pillow, headlamps, cook kit, stove, fuel, water filter, water treatment, bear bag kit, trekking poles, compass, maps

- National Forest permit and/or campsite permit (reservations)

- Breakfasts, dinners, 2 one liter bottled water and 2 snacks

- Transportation

- Park entry fee (if required)

- Personal gear (backpack, clothing, footwear) and personal supplies (hygiene, electronics, book or other forms of entertainment)
