Die aus Detroit stammende Band TY (ausgesprochen „Tee Why“) hat Drums, die klingen wie die Kopfstöße des grünen Wikingers aus dem Sega Game Klassiker "Golden Axe II". 
Der Leadsänger grunzt wie der Wikinger aus Golden Axe II, wenn er was auf die Zwölf bekommt. 
Und wenn man genau hinhört, klingt die Gitarre ein wenig wie der Spezialangriff des grünen, bärtigen Kriegers. 
Das coole, rythmisch treibende Garage-Punk-Geklöppel wird sicherlich sämtlichen Fans von Golden Axe II gefallen, aber sicher auch denen, die von diesem Beat-em-up-Klassiker noch nie gehört haben. 

Henry Rollins meint:
„... eine Band, über die ich nicht viel weiß, weil ich sie gerade erst entdeckt habe. Sie kommen aus Detroit, ähm ... sie heißen ‚TY‘ und ich glaube, das steht für ‚thank you‘?“
