Die Chicagoer Art-Rock-Band Ganser erhielt 2020 mit ihrem zweiten Album „Just Look at That Sky“ breite Anerkennung und landete auf Bestenlisten von Vice, Rolling Stone und Paste. Während der Pandemie entstand eine Remix-EP in Zusammenarbeit mit Andy Bell, Sad13, Adam Faulkner und Bartees Strange, parallel hielt die Band online Kontakt zu ihren Fans.

Nach gemeinsamen Auftritten mit Bikini K*ll, Viagra Boys, Amyl & the Sniffers und der Gilla Band arbeitet Ganser derzeit an ihrem dritten Album. 2022 erschien bereits die EP „Nothing You Do Matters“, produziert mit Angus Andrew (Liars).

Mit dem neuen Album „Animal Hospital“ setzt die Band ihren Weg fort: ein konzentrierter Blick auf die Widersprüche des Alltags, verdichtet zu kompakten, energiegeladenen Songs. Ganser erweitern ihr Klangspektrum, bleiben aber ihren markanten, treibenden Rhythmen treu – präzises Schlagzeug, pulsierende Basslinien, Gitarren und Synths, die zwischen Spannung und Ruhe vermitteln.
