We will be joined by renowned underwater photographer and citizen scientist John Sear, who has spent more than 25 years documenting Sydney’s underwater world. With thousands of hours in the water and over 10,000 iNaturalist observations, John has helped uncover an incredible 450 plus fish species living right here in Cabbage Tree Bay.

As co-author of Fishes of Cabbage Tree Bay, John will share stunning imagery and insights into the remarkable diversity that exists just off Shelly Beach, along with stories of recent discoveries and the research helping shape our understanding of this unique marine environment. 

Whether you are passionate about marine life, photography, or simply curious about what lies beneath the surface, this promises to be an inspiring night celebrating our local underwater world.
