- **Event Description**: Join Palmer and our friends at Flying Pig Farm in Manitou Springs for a special screening of MIRASOL: Looking at the Sun, a film by Ben Knight and produced by Palmer Land Conservancy. In this poignant film, award-winning filmmaker Ben Knight challenges us to think about land and water use in the West through an intimate portrait of a rural farming community in Pueblo, Colorado, as they fight to protect their water and land, and in turn, their culture and livelihood.

Flying Pig Farm is working in partnership with the current property owner, Doug Edmonson, and Palmer Land Conservancy to conserve their land in perpetuity.  Establishing a legally protected status for the farm guarantees public access, human-scale agriculture, and land education in Manitou Springs for generations to come.

Join us in helping Flying Pig reach its capital goals to protect the land in perpetuity. Enjoy snacks, drinks, and discussion following the film, with music from the Colorado College Bluegrass Ensemble.

First screening at 2:30 p.m.
Second screening at 3:30 p.m.
