The last First Friday Artwalk of 2024 is going to be a great evening! The Annual Studio Artists & Members Show will be up in the Hagnauer Gallery and there will be a brand new show in the First Amendment Gallery.
As we have reactivated our spaces in the 515 building, we invite you to take a walk through and enjoy art, signature cocktails and music in both buildings! In the 513 building, Archtop Eddy will provide the evening's entertainment.
Archtop Eddy has been playing music for the folks in the Pikes Peak region since the 1970’s. He has played in reggae bands (Raku, Mo’ Mungus) funk and rock bands, and Colorado’s first gypsy jazz band (Mango fan Django).
With his solo act, Archtop Eddy focuses on songs with great melodies and lyrics from the 1920’s to the 1990’s: instrumentals, vocals, great American song book, Latin, Caribbean and European. Archtop Eddy believes music should be fun to listen to and easy to enjoy. He also believes there is more to these songs than just the music. Often behind the songs are the true stories. The turn in the lyrics or melody can take one back to times special to their lives and history.
In the 515 building, Singer/Songwriter Curtis Boucher will be playing in the coworking area. Curtis is an original indie folk singer-songwriter with a haunting and completely unique voice used to deliver heartfelt, introspective lyrics paired with finger style guitar and banjo melodies which create a dream-like yet powerful ambience.
Curtis has been inspired by timeless songwriters such as Townes Van Zandt, Blaze Foley, Neil Young, Loudon Wainwright as well as newer more contemporary artists such as Adrianne Lenker, Haley Heyndrickx, The Mountain Goats and the Fleet Foxes.
