Cave of the Winds Mountain Park
100 Cave of the Winds Road, Manitou Springs, United States
For the first time ever, the world-famous sacred site called the CAVE OF THE WINDS is collaborating with our evergrowing interdisciplinary nonprofit, the InterWorld Institute 501c3, to deliver a legendary offering on Mon night Sept 22 at 7-9pm in just a week - as the ending / culmination of the Psyche-Soma Wellness Immersion @ InterWorld EcoVillage - limited to 30 participants and very likely to sell out fast.
Join us for this rare historic moment, honoring the Fall Equinox, inside a large cavern in the sacred underground tunnel system under the mountains of Manitou Springs in the Tava-Kaavi region (sun mountain / pikes peak) ... we will have a mindful movement and intentional 'beyond ecstatic' dance experience, including Sound Meditation and BreathWork with Yasha, warm up with live DJ Emerson Jane, and a full length concert by the great Bloomurian with musical support from JAMeeSHKA. All attendees are asked to dance as a mindful and meditative prayer to help preserve the sacred cavern and avoid touching any walls.
The cave of the winds is named after the spirit of father wind - as you can hear the whistling of the sacred wind element inside some of the living mysterious natural formations of earthen stalactites and stalagmites in the underground caves and cavernous tunnel systems that stretch deep into the mountain in this powerful energetic vortex of the planet.
A Psyche-Soma Tour Stop:
Join us for this incredible opportunity connecting inner coherence with creative expression in community … We will weave holistic psychosomatic wellness practices for nervous system healing and regulation together with multifaceted creative expression, opening and activating your creative channels through art, dance, movement, breath, singing, and music.
Every tour stop includes:
Sound meditation > breathwork > voice activation > guided dance > interactive concert > live music performances
with Yasha S. Wagner, Vanessa Göke, and all retreat facilitators together
We will be introducing some breathwork practices and conscious breathing techniques for activating the subtle body and energy centers, oxygenating the blood and brain, removing blockages and contractions, and opening up the coherent flow of creative energy through our whole psychophysical system. Tapping into the unconscious by bringing awareness to autonomic functions, this practice helps balance and harmonize the nervous system.
Sound Meditation integrates the interplay of sacred sound and silence, stillness and vibration, washing waves of energy over the soul and psyche to restore and rejuvenate every cell of our being. It can include various world music and native flute journeys, drum songs, didgeridoo, chimes and Tibetan bells or singing bowls, traditional world chants and benevolent incantations invoking sacred names and transmissions from around the world, nature-based sounds like whistles, rattles, and Chakapa leaves, sometimes strings or shrutis and other elements to facilitate the inner journey of the mind and spirit during the meditation as an inward contemplation and regenerative release, harmonizing and balancing the nervous system. This sound meditation practice can be done sitting or lying down and will be the calming integration space sprinkled as a contemplative practice through the retreat. Note: Modern scientific studies have also supported the effectiveness of traditional sound meditations.
Headlining Dance Set with a Rising Star
Please enjoy this big celebration on day 4 with live music by DJ & producer (+ InterWorld collaborator) Bloomurian... the concert is a part of the core retreat and is also open to the public for general admission.
Embodied Movement Practice rooted in 5 Rhythms and the 360 Emergence
Facilitated by Emerson Jane
The 360 Emergence is much more than ecstatic dance. Rooted in 5rhythms, It is a guided AND self-guided embodiment practice that in my experience brings me DIRECTLY in touch with God/Goddess Source Creation. It’s a container that invites us to dance *even more* consciously with the ego, mind, body, and soul allowing us to move stored energy through the entire system with awareness, in motion, and in community. It allows us to see where we get caught. Caught in the mind and in the body, while with others. It connects us to the orbital fields that run up and long our central channel and in doing so, creates a felt sense of connection with the seen and the unseen. It’s a coming HOME.
This practice is devotion. We dance to become free. We dance to remember who we are, why we’ve come, and how to show up more authentically. There’s direction~we go IN to expand in ALL directions. We become a walking, moving, dancing embodiment of everything and nothing all at the same time. What a gift to remember how to move, how to be in this way.
💫 Moving for connection
💫 Moving for liberation
💫 Moving with the light and the shadow
💫 Moving as prayer
✨Come explore deeper layers of embodiment as Emerson helps guide this somatic practice~ through The 360 Emergence mapping combined with a live DJ journey set to help drop us deeper into the body~ providing connection, expansion, space, and presence.
✨This practice helps liberate stuck energy in the body and allows us to create more space in the nervous system, it challenges us to be with all we are and teaches us to maintain our center while moving in relationship with others.
💫 A revolutionary movement~ steeped in ceremony~ the dance is the medicine.
✨This is a sober space 😘
What to bring:
💫 Water bottle
💫 Comfortable clothes for movement
💫 Journal and pen
💫 Socks or bare feet
💫 Item for the alter if you feel called
💫 Please be mindful of higiene~ we will most likely be sweating and sharing intimate space, so please be showered, deodorant, etc.

Gather in a safe and creative space to free your voice and unleash your wild heart!
This is not your typical song circle. While we will be singing and incorporating lyrics and melody into many of our practices, we will also be doing a wide variety of unique vocal exercises to boost your confidence and open up your creative channels. Every human has a voice, and you can take it anywhere, so why not learn how to use it to access the full breadth of your aliveness? Singing (and making all kinds of sounds) has incredible healing benefits including reducing anxiety and depression, feeling more joy and empowerment, as well as boosting your immune system and regulating your nervous system (just to name a few). Come prepared to get loose and a little weird. Incredible sound (and fun!) comes in many forms.
Your guides will be internationally celebrated visionary artist and ritualist, Ishka Lha, who is also a well recognized singer and composer through her music project, JAMeeSHKA, together with touring musician James Caran. Ishka grew up in choral groups, theater, and school bands, but the main focal point of her curiosity and passion today alights on the healing power of the voice and its effect on our overall well being (which is hardly emphasized in more formal music education, sadly). Her loving and playful yet very direct facilitation style will help you feel at ease in exploring the full spectrum of expression that your heart is longing for.
(experiential pariticipatory performance)
Be entertained and inspired by a beautiful and eclectic mix of heart-stirring compositions, vocal play, and a touch of improvisation. JAMeeSHKA performs songs and creates soundscapes that combine live instrumentation, real-time analog manipulation, and looping to create a show that sounds more grand than you could imagine only two people producing.
The wilder more theatrical side of JAMeeSHKA weaves extensive musical improvisation and audience interaction into the mix. Imagine their more traditional music concert, but with plenty of invitations to pARTicipate in beautiful, playful, heart-opening exercises that combine movement and sound throughout the entire show that might feel sublimely silly or seriously shamanic in the blink of an eye. A great choice for the more adventurous participatory crowd, to fully unwind and rewild thyself. Like a dream that you never want to (or have to!) wake up from.
Curation by Ishka Lha
Ishka Lha will weave together an incredible selection of visionary artworks she has created (and by other master artists in her field if desired) to inspire and engage, in alignment with the theme of this transformational gathering.
musical duo
JAMeeSHKA is a San Francisco Bay Area grown live music anomaly, weaving an eclectic blend of heart-stirring harmonies, outlandish vocal play, and creative instrumentation into multi-layered compositions and extensive theatrical improvisation. Every JAMeeSHKA show pulses with raw vocal power, positivity, and poetry on a number of subjects ranging from love, desire, and loss to invocations of personal power, devotion, and magic—but more than anything, they're a call to unity. Co-creators, James Caran and Ishka Lha, delight in producing site-specific art and music journeys for private and public events, frequently causing audiences to erupt with fervid laughter, cry with introspective reverence, and dance in ecstatic wonderment.
Visual Artist Bio
Ishka Lha (pronounced ee-shka-la) is an internationally celebrated visionary artist, writer, ritualist, and mentor devoted to helping others to connect more deeply with their mystic heart. She grew up on a ranch nestled atop rolling golden hills in a very rural area in northern California, where the quiet natural beauty of her childhood surroundings inspired endless imaginative play and creativity. She heavily pursued expressive arts studies (art, music, and theater), excelled in math throughout her formative years, and at university, she earned a Professional Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, with an emphasis on natural building and eco-village design. Shortly after graduation, she set sail for the exploration and creation of art as a healing modality; and she has since integrated her dedication to spiritual growth, harmonious design, and community building into a variety of applied formats for many years.
Ishka is part of a growing visionary art movement dedicated to the evolution of consciousness, and approaches her creative process as a spiritual practice. Her art explores and celebrates the natural radiance inherent in all dimensions of life through the use of neo-traditional iconography and mythology, and she is especially interested in what universal archetypes, symbols, and forms have most helpfully guided humankind's passage through time into greater avenues of mutual respect, understanding, and heartfelt livelihood. Her work is primarily featured in private collections, galleries, healing centers, and transformational art and music events and festivals across the globe.
Music Bio
James Caran was the first kid on the block to own a four-track. Before he could read, he could cut a blues album playing all the instruments himself. Today—hand him an obscure and oblong-shaped artifact, tell him it's a musical instrument, and within an hour he'll be playing it proficiently. Next week he'll be recording it to analog tape.
But James doesn't just make great music. He fosters it. He creates the circumstances wherein music happens. And he does so not simply with his own virtuosic skill, but by bringing great musicians together and letting their uniqueness enrich the groundwork he's laid—producing mixes and engineering sound in multiple different formats and environments for and with countless acts the world over. He has collaborated with some fine folks, establishments, and organizations such as The Roots, Quincy Jones, Herbie Hancock, Coldplay, Naturally Seven, Diana Ross, Michael Bublé, Taj Mahal, the Budokan, Arseneo Hall, Jay Leno, Madison Square Garden, New Orleans Jazz Festival, and The White House. And when he’s not throwin’ down for giant arenas, he’s gettin’ down in the dust on such projects and phenomena as Feed The Artists, Living Pulse, Sacred Spaces, Wagonistas, Jimmy Dies of Dysentery, ManiFest Destiny, Monticello, the DoDo, Red Lightning, and The Soundcave.
As a man of many talents—singer, composer, multi-instrumentalist, producer, director, sound engineer, technician, teacher, and creator of countless recording studios, stages, and performance venues across every continent on the globe except Antarctica and the North Pole—all these wildly creative hats he wears are possibly boiled down to just three words: Sound Escape Artist.
