In 1986, TW received the United Nations Peace Medal for their contribution of music & their lyrical prose. Third World's 22nd studio LP "More Work To Be Done" produced by Multi-Grammy winner, Damian “Jr Gong” Marley, the youngest son of the legendary Bob Marley was nominated for "Best Reggae Album" at the 2020 Grammy Awards.
