Study the greatest 20th century chamber orchestra works with Maestro Kynan Johns, Director of Orchestras at Rutgers University and Associate Principal Guest Conductor of La Orquesta Clasica Santa Cecilia, Madrid, Spain. This workshop includes a visit to a New York Philharmonic rehearsal, body movement classes, and 40+ minutes with orchestra. Rep includes: Stravinsky's Dumbarton Oaks, Britten's Sinfonietta, and Bartok's Divertimento for Strings.

ENSEMBLE: Astoria Symphony Orchestra
The Astoria Symphony is a per-service professional training orchestra for freelance musicians in the early part of their careers.
Tuition: $1,190 (US) for active participants, $290 (US) for auditors
A limited number of need and merit based scholarships are available.
Hotel accommodations are the responsibility of the student
