Astronomy in the Park Presents: Observe the Moon Night
Join us for a lunar night as we celebrate NASA's International Observe the Moon Night! Pelican Park's "Astronomy in the Park" is hosting a special event on October 4, 2025, where you can get an up-close look at our nearest celestial neighbor.
International Observe the Moon Night is a worldwide celebration of lunar science and exploration. It's a perfect opportunity to learn about the Moon's fascinating history and its impact on Earth.
Step into our portable planetarium for an immersive experience! We'll be running short, 10-15 minute moon programming throughout the event, so everyone will get a chance to learn about our incredible moon. We'll also have moon-themed crafts and educational resources set up with the planetarium for the whole family. Simultaneously, we'll have telescopes set up for outdoor viewing, allowing you to see the Moon's craters and other features in stunning detail.
Whether you are a seasoned moon gazer or just curious about what's up there, this free, family-friendly event is a great way to discover the beauty of the Moon. Bring your friends and family for a night of exploration and fun!
