Evangeline Theater Company will hold auditions for its first play in our new space, David Mamet's Pulitzer Prize winner "Glengarry Glen Ross". Mamet's drama took Broadway by storm, telling the story of cutthroat real estate salesmen in Chicago who are trying to grind out a living by pushing plots of land on reluctant buyers in a never-ending scramble for their share of the American dream. The winner gets a new car; the loser is out of a job.

Auditions will take place on Sunday, Feb. 1 at 2pm and Monday, Feb. 2 at 6pm. Callbacks, if needed, will take place Tuesday, Feb. 3 at 6pm.
Auditions will consists of cold reads from sides that are available here (all auditioners are encouraged to be familiar with the sides in advance, although memorization is not required):

Rehearsals begin: Monday, March 9
Rehearsals will be M-W from 6:30-9 and Saturdays from 10-1. Additional rehearsals may be added as we go.
Shows run 4/17, 18, 19, 24, 25, 26, and 5/1, 2, 3
Roles available:
Shelly Levene (M) – Late 50’s-60’s: Salesman who was successful years ago, but recently has hit a streak of bad luck. He desperately wants to save his career, and this desperation is usually grotesquely apparent.
John Williamson (M) – Late 20’s-30s : The manager of the real estate office whose job is to oversee the operations of the office and to assign the leads.
Dave Moss (M) – 40’s – 50’s: A decent but angry real estate salesman who harbors a great deal of resentment toward the company.
George Aaronow (M) – 30’s – 50’s: A timid real estate salesman who is extremely meek and mild-mannered. He is worried about being fired.
James Lingk (M) – 30’s – 60’s: A quiet, timid man who is overshadowed by his wife when it comes to business deals.
Baylen (M) – 40’s – 60’s: A police detective called in to investigate theft at the office.
