The artists:
ZION PE MONTEBON is a multi-awarded pianist from the Philippines. He has won over thirty piano competitions across Asia, Europe, and North America. His accolades include top prizes at the Steinway Youth Piano Competition, Medici International Music Competition, Franz Liszt Center International Piano Competition, Singapore International Piano Competition, Kayserburg Youth Piano Competition, and the Piano Teachers Guild of the Philippines Piano Competition. In 2022, he was a recipient of the Ani Ng Dangal award.

Zion’s musical journey began at the age of five. Previously mentored by Mr. Ignatius Jerome Baes and Prof. Anthony Yu Say, he was accepted to the Philippine High School for the Arts under a full scholarship, graduating with honors and awarded the Gawad Idiyanale and PHSA-CCP Scholarship. Zion made his orchestral debut at 15 and has since performed with the Manila Symphony Orchestra, Manila Symphony Junior Orchestra, and the Young Artists Quartet. He has graced numerous halls such as the Cultural Center of the Philippines, Metropolitan Theater, and the National Arts Center. In 2023, he was one of the featured artists in The Heritage Album, a project showcasing the works of Filipino composer, Rodolfo Cornejo. In 2025, he was a recipient of the Cultural Center of the Philippines International Scholarship Program. Some of his notable engagements include a solo recital at the Goldenberg Mansion of Malacañang, and multiple concerts under the Double Pentagon Series.

Zion has received masterclasses with renowned concert pianists and pedagogues. He attended the Manila International Piano Masterclasses Festival under the Ebony Scholarship in 2019. He has studied under Anthony de Mare, Min Kwon, Victor Rosenbaum, Nina Schumann, Robin Zebaida, Ksenia Nosikova, Alexander Tchobanov, Rolf-Dieter Arens, Liebrecht Vanbeckevoort, Nelson Delle-Vigne Fabbri, Adam Kent, Wael Farouk, Anait Karpova, Ross Salvosa, Carmencita Aspiras, Heliodoro Fiel II, Abelardo Galang, Oliver Salonga, and Jovianney Emmanuel Cruz.

Currently, Zion is pursuing his Bachelor’s Degree in Piano Performance at the Lynn Conservatory of Music under the mentorship of Dr. Roberta Rust.

BENEDICT MAGBOO began playing the piano at 4 years old. His parents prodded him to take formal piano lessons that sparked interest when he was 9 in his hometown, Oriental Mindoro, under the teaching of Ms. Mary Jane-Male. He is an alumnus of the Philippine High School for the Arts, Batch 2023, under the guidance of Professor Anthony Yu Say and is currently a junior studying in the University of Santo Tomas Conservatory of Music under the same professor. 

He made his orchestral debut with the Orchestra of the Filipino Youth under the baton of Maestro Gerard Salonga, making the first classical concert before The Proscenium Theater opened its doors in Rockwell Makati.

He has placed highly in several national and international competitions, with the most notable, First Prize of the National Music Competition for Young Artists (NAMCYA) 2022, the PTGPFI Piano Competition 2024 claiming First Prize in the Category B2 Filipino Pieces, Second Prize in the Category B2 Etudes.

He has took masterclasses from the likes of Lang Lang, Ewa Pobłocka, Albert Tiu, Carmencita Aspiras, Jovianney Emmanuel Cruz, Chun-Chieh Yen, Corey Hamm, Bernd Goetzke, and many more highly acclaimed local and international pianists.
