Welcome to the 3rd Annual Rhythm & Roots Harvest Festival, hosted by The Cookout. Join us September 26–27, 2025 at the beloved Mancos Brewing Company, our second home and a proven brave space, for a celebration of music, art, farming, and community that goes far beyond the ordinary.
This festival was created to provide an inclusive space for artists of color to share their work and to be fairly compensated for their talents. Over the years it has grown into a family reunion for our community—a time when artists, organizers, farmers, and neighbors come together to celebrate creativity, resilience, and the harvest season that these Native Ute lands bless us with.
We gather to honor and uplift farmers, who keep us nourished while facing some of the highest rates of mental health struggles in the U.S. We gather to create a brave space for education, activism, and mutual aid where allies can listen, learn, and support. We gather to celebrate artists of color and ensure their brilliance is seen, heard, and valued. And we gather to sustain The Cookout’s Mutual Aid For All Fund, which directly supports neighbors in need—no applications, no judgment, just care.
This year’s festival will feature live performances from Tha 'Yoties, Innastate, The Boomroots Collective, Levi Platero, DJ Beeso, DJ Nigey, Def-i, Lindy Vision, and Innatu ft. Maria Joy & Sōl Yam Way. Alongside the music, there will be a car and bike show, a kid-friendly zone, local vendors, delicious food, and space to dance and celebrate together.
Your support matters now more than ever. Large funders are hesitant, but our community’s power is unstoppable. Every dollar raised goes first to paying artists fairly—because they deserve it—and the remainder goes directly into our Mutual Aid For All Fund, helping neighbors cover essentials like rent, bills, and groceries. When you donate or sponsor, you are not just supporting a festival—you are investing in artists, activists, farmers, and families right here in Southwest Colorado.
This festival is curated by Angela and Zosha of The Cookout, with artwork from the Beech Street Skate youth artist crew. Together, let’s gather, celebrate, and dance—The Cookout style.
