Walk description: starting from the lay by we will walk down the hill to the river and along the main woodland path. The path drops to an old riverbed which is a little uneven in parts, it then returns to an easy woodland path where we return up the hill and walk back to the lay by along the old railway lines.

 Getting there: Accessible by car


 Parking: there is lay by parking at the end of the lane. As you drive through Acomb, at the end of the village there is a small industrial estate, drive to the end of this lane. We will meet at 10am


Walk type (baby-carrying, pushchair, toddler): baby carrying and toddles only, unfortunately the main woodland path is not suitable for prams.   


Length (distance and approx. time): this is a short one mile circuit perfect for toddlers exploring and short carrying walks. We can explore the top old railway line if we want to keep exploring. Expect to be out for up to an hour.


 Terrain: the majority of the walk is on woodland tracks, there are a few uneven areas


 Refreshments: please bring your own and we can have a picnic at the end.  


Toilets: none available 


 Baby changing: none available  


 Dogs welcome: Yes, if kept on a lead and well behaved around children/other dogs. Please respect those who may not be confident with dogs.
