RESERVE YOUR TICKETS NOW - This, without doubt, is going to sell out. Within just 4 days 121 of the 220 tickets available have been reserved (as at 05.05.25).
Here's how reservations work:
You contact me either by FB Messenger or email
cGdraWxsaWNrMTk2MCB8IGdtYWlsICEgY29t or text to 07707-648349 stating your name and how many tickets you wish to have reserved. Commenting on this fan page to reserve is fine but will only be considered a confirmed reservation if I add a “thank you” comment to your post.
I maintain a list, which is very strictly on a first come first served basis, of all such requests.
Your ticket(s) will be reserved and guaranteed to you until 1st July. There is no obligation to buy to that point.
On or about 1st July I will contact you personally via the medium you used to contact me and offer you the chance to make your purchase. You will then have the choice-
a. To buy your reserved tickets within seven days, or,
b. To decline to purchase in which case the tickets you had reserved will be placed back on open sale.
After "Beatles in Urmston - 2013", "Stones in Urmston - 2013" and "Urmston Live - 2015" I now launch "URMSTON REVISITED"
PAPER LACE:
Billy Don't Be A Hero UK#1 - 1074
The Night Chicago Died UK#3 US#1 - 1974
Black Eyed Boys UK#11 - 1974
Hitchin' A Ride
Philip Wright Founder, lead singer on all the hits and drummer brings the band to town with his band members Phil Hendriks, Dave Major and Dale Corcoran all of whom have a fabulous history, not only with Paper Lace but so many other bands over the decades.
Paper Lace appeared at Urmston live in 2015 and are welcomed back ten years later.
Their sound today is as good as it was back in the day, they deliver an exceptional performance with great humour and audience engagement.
THE LEGENDARIES
For 10 years the band performing with the late Les McKeown, lead singer with the Bay City Rollers. (appeared at Urmston Live 2015).
Yes, they major on BCRs songs but also deliver other great hits from the 1970s.
Their members also have a fabulous history of performing with so many great bands.
These bands will bring the 70's alive once again. Not the big extravaganza on Abbotsfield Park, Urmston but an indoor venue for 220 people. A cracking evening of live music including a Q&A from the floor session where you can ask the stars anything you like - within reason!
VENUE: John Alker Club, Flixton Road, Urmston. 220 capacity and already121 have been reserved in just 4 days. Don’t miss out.
TICKETS:
Tickets are priced at £26.
Those that know me for the two BIG concerts on Abbotsfield Park will know that I am not a professional promoter and it’s not about making money, it's about making good things happen in my home town. Given the expensive nature of this concert this is the lowest price I can offer that will cover costs.
DRESS CODE: I encourage everybody to dress 1970s, there will be a prize for the best dressed male and best dressed female chosen by my American Spy in the audience! So, dig out your flares, tank tops, medallions and dancing shoes and be part of the party.
As The Beatles once sang...."A Splendid Time Is Guaranteed For All"
