- **Event Description**: We're pleased to announce our next and final free Museum open day for 2026, as part of the Heritage Open Days weekend at Heaton Park.

Our tramway museum will be open on Saturday 19th September from 11:00 - 16:30. Whilst our vintage trams won't be in operation, we're focusing on giving as much access to our collection as possible. Our volunteers will be on hand to show you our fleet of classic Manchester trams, and how they are restored and maintained in our workshops, as well as allowing a "hands on" guide on how tramcars are driven, where you can climb aboard and get shown the handles!

Our museum contains artifacts from over 150 years of Manchester's tramway history past and present, that will be on display.

We will also be operating free heritage bus services from our museum, running at regular intervals on former tramway routes in the local era, using a classic bus. More details on time and route TBC.

Other events are taking place across the weekend at Heaton Park and Hall too.
