Funérailles (Funeral)— Edward LloydABOUT THE PERFORMERSKamil KulichSlovak pianist Kamil Kulich is recognised for his versatility and distinctive artistic voice. He is currently studying for a Bachelor of Music at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester as an ABRSM scholar under Professor Graham Scott. He previously studied at Wells Cathedral School on a full scholarship and at the Conservatory in Bratislava.A prize winner in 19 national and international competitions, Kamil was a semi-finalist in BBC Young Musician 2024 and the international Virtuosos V4+ competition. His awards include the Special Prize from the Academy of Arts in Banská Bystrica and the Talenty Novej Európy – SLOVNAFT Grant.He performs regularly as a soloist and chamber musician across Europe, appearing at venues such as BBC Studios, Cardiff, and the Liszt Academy in Budapest. He also collaborates in duo and chamber ensembles and is an active member of several RNCM ensembles. Minsung ParkBorn in 2003 in Busan, South Korea, Minsung Park started his piano journey at the age of 7. He is an alumnus of Chetham's School of Music. In 2021, he started studying at the Royal Northern College of Music with Professor Murray McLachlan. In 2025, he graduated from RNCM, obtaining a Bachelor of Music degree with 1st class Honours. Now he is pursuing a Master's degree under Professor Graham Scott at RNCM, thanks to an FW Wright Piano Scholarship.In 2024, Minsung made a remarkable concerto debut with St. John's Festival Orchestra, performing Rachmaninov's second piano concerto with conductor Adam Davies.Minsung has been standing out in various national and international piano competitions. He won 1st Prize in the 5th Làszlò Spezzaferri International Music Prize in 2023. In 2024, he won 2nd prize in the LOML International Piano Competition (Category B). In 2025, he won the RNCM Piano Duo Prize with his regular partner Tsukushi Mitsuda. In May 2025, he won 3rd prize in the RNCM Mark Ray Piano Recital Competition. He was also one of the six finalists and laureates in the Liszt Society International Piano Competition 2025. Callum Bisson Callum Bisson is a 20‑year‑old pianist‑composer from Rochdale, Lancashire. He began piano lessons at the age of seven and later joined the sixth form at Chetham's School of Music to study piano and composition.During his time at Chetham's, he earned multiple internal accolades, including Highly Commended awards in the Beethoven and Chopin competitions and a finalist position in the Annual Piano Competition. Externally, he has performed in a Hallé pre‑concert on the Bridgewater Hall's main stage, achieved an overall Outstanding in the 2024 EPTA Piano Competition Regional Heats, and reached the semifinals of the 2026 EPTA Regional Finals in Leeds.In 2024, Callum began his BMus at the Royal Northern College of Music, studying piano with Professor Graham Scott and composition with Professor Adam Gorb. As a composer, he has participated in RNCM workshops with the Chamber Choir, Percussion Ensemble, and Brass Band. His recent piano work, Variations on a Theme by Shostakovich, has received three performances. William PoonBorn and raised in Hong Kong, William Poon started learning the piano at the age of five. His tutors include Jane Lo and Kovács Márton. He was awarded a full scholarship by the Hong Kong Home Affairs Bureau in 2020 to the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, where he studied with the renowned pianist Nancy Loo. He also received a scholarship to the Royal Northern College of Music to pursue a Master of Music degree under the guidance of Helen Krizos and Graham Scott.William has had masterclasses and lessons from internationally renowned pianists, including Anikó Szokody, Jean-Efflam Bavouzet, Maurizio Baglini, Roberto Plano, Enrico Elisi, Hye Jung Hong, Tammy Lum, Wei Han Su, and Mengyang Pan. He is the winner of the RNCM Beethoven Sonata Competition in 2024 and received the Carola Grindea Audience Prize at the 32nd BPSE Beethoven Senior Intercollegiate Piano Competition. He has also been invited to give piano recitals around the UK, including Rochdale, Buxton, Shrewsbury and Didsbury. Liana StoreyJapanese-British pianist Liana Storey was born in Kansas City, USA, in 2002 and began piano at the age of four. After early studies with Marina Sultanova at the International Center for Music, Park University, she continued her training at the Junior Royal Conservatoire of Scotland with Marika Slater, James Willshire and Graeme McNaught.She has won prizes in numerous competitions, including first prize at the Young Pianist of the North International Competition (2014), second prize at both the Junior and Senior Intercollegiate Beethoven Piano Competitions (2018, 2026), and first prize in the RNCM Concerto Competition (2025). She has also performed concertos with several amateur orchestras, alongside a wide range of solo and chamber repertoire.Liana has participated in international festivals such as the Lake Como Summer Piano School, Óbidos International Piano Masterclasses Course in Portugal, and Ticino Musica Festival. She has worked in masterclasses with pianists including Stanislav Ioudenitch, William Grant Nabore and Roberto Plano.She completed her Undergraduate and Master's degrees at the RNCM with Dina Parakhina and Graham Scott, and now continues her Postgraduate Diploma with Graham Scott, Ben Frith and Karin Greenhead. Edward Lloyd Described by Pascal Nemirovski as "a poetic and expressive performer with musical instincts and communicative musicianship," Edward Lloyd made his concerto debut with the Oxford Festival Orchestra at St Mary the Virgin in 2022. Since then, he has performed at the Bridgewater Hall, Stoller Hall, Liszt Academy in Budapest, and Liverpool Philharmonic.Edward has won prizes at the Liszt Society International Piano Competition, Christopher Duke Piano Competition, International Vienna Piano Competition "Wiener Klassik", and Beethoven Piano Society of Europe Competition. An active chamber musician, he also won first prize in the Dorothy Richardson and Alexander Young prizes for vocal accompaniment.Edward studied at Chetham's School of Music and is currently at the Royal Northern College of Music with Prof. Graham Scott, supported by The LHR Charitable Foundation. He is an artist with the Davison Young Musicians Foundation, a DYMF Awards Advocate since 2024, and a 2025 Drake Calleja Trust Scholar supported by the Craxton Memorial Trust.
