This week, we will start with the weekly open mic at 8pm and follow it with a FEATURE by Mckendy Fils-Aimé!!  There is a $5 cover and this is an all-ages show. About the Feature:

Mckendy Fils-Aimé is a New England based Haitian-American poet, organizer, and teaching artist. He has received fellowships from Callaloo, Cave Canem, The Watering Hole, and Periplus. Over the span of nearly two decades, Mckendy has represented New England in several regional and national poetry slams, performing on numerous semifinal and final stages. Mckendy’s work has been featured or is forthcoming in Best New Poets, Adroit, Muzzle, American Literary Review, the Academy of American Poets, and elsewhere. His debut poetry collection, sipèstisyon, was published by YesYes Books in June 2026.

Accessibility Information:
The entrance to our show is at the back of the building with no stairs to enter the space. There is a ramp through the main bar for access to the ADA compliant bathrooms. For any other accessibility questions message our page or ask a staff member at the show.

About Slam Free Or Die - Poetry Open Mic & Slam:
Slam Free Or Die @ Stark Brewing Company is a series of open mic nights for poets and spoken-word artists every Thursday night in Manchester, NH. There is an open mic every night and poetry slams are also held several times a month. Doors open and sign-ups begin at 7pm with open mic beginning at 8pm. Featured poets and slams follows the open mic. Come and enjoy the delicious food and beverages at Stark Brewing Company! There is a $5 cover charge. This is an all-ages show in a private function room. For more information: e-mail SlamFreeorDie@gmail.com. Stark Brewing Company is located next to Arms Park at 500 N. Commercial Street in Manchester, NH. There is plenty of free parking at the rear of the building (facing the river) and you can feel free to use the entrance on that side.
