In this gripping drama, a widow inherits her husband's job as a police constable in a rural North Indian town and finds herself thrust into a murder investigation alongside a veteran female inspector. This is the feature debut of documentary-maker Sandhya Suri and combines an enthralling police procedural with an examination of complex issues within modern India.
The film was this year’s UK submission to the international Oscar category.
