Narwhals - 'New Year Drunk In A Cocktail Bar' Launch Party!

Narwhals is the long-running project of Mancunian singer-songwriter Jacob Patrick. Despite being built around Jacob’s deeply personal and poetic songwriting and characteristic baritone crooning, Narwhals has always been a collaborative effort with other musicians, most notably over many years with brothers Michael and Phill Ward, Ben Hunter and Tim Norman. Their sound has been likened to The National, Frightened Rabbit and Joy Division but draws on a range of influences from the blissed out post-rock of Sigur Ros or Mogwai to the hard-edged grunginess of Nirvana.

Their debut album “Two Dark Windows” was released in 2018 and encompassed a body of work written over 10 years. In 2022 they signed with Bread Records, releasing standalone single "3310 & A Pterosaur" (February 2022), followed by "Airport Runs" (December 2023), "Unstitched" (February 2024), "Moor Fires" (June 2024) & "Sweat In The Dark" (December 2025). Their sophomore album "New Years Drunk in a Cocktail Bar" is due to be released in January 2026.

The project currently consists of two parts with the aforementioned Ward brothers assisting with the production of upcoming releases while the live band consists of new collaborators Ignacio Maximo, Mike Crawford and Liam Middleton
