Think of energy that feels charged, compressed, or heightened. Heat can appear in hard light, saturated colour, sharp contrast, or in the closeness between people and spaces.On this walk, we’ll focus on photographing boldness and tension. Look for harsh sunlight carving out deep shadows, moments where contrast adds drama, and scenes that immediately command attention. Midday glare, crisp highlights, and dense blacks can all shape images that feel strong and unapologetic.Heat can also be human. Notice physical proximity, expressive gestures, crowded streets, laughter spilling outward, or quiet exchanges loaded with intensity. Where does the city feel amplified? Where do you sense friction or momentum building?Pay attention to extremes, how light cuts across a surface, how colour asserts itself, how contrast defines mood. When editing, consider pushing contrast, deepening shadows, and enriching colour to emphasise that intensity.
