Louder Than War Announces Sea Power as Headliner Of Inaugural Event
March 14 2026 sees Louder Than War launching its own festival!
Based in Manchester, the debut event will be headlined by the great Sea Power and a full bill of bands will be announced soon over three stages at Manchester Academy. We call the event Louder Than War Live!
Reflecting the bands and music that we cover on the site, it will be a day of great diverse music with lots the bands we love, old, new, borrowed and blue, giving us all a chance to celebrate some of our long term faves, and great new bands that we are really keen for you to see.

This is the first festival of what will be an annual event. It will be a place to share our music and values with you the readers and also hang out with a great soundtrack!
Based in Manchester it will be a reflection of the Louder Than War website’s celebration of cutting edge music and culture. It will be a multi stage event with music that we have written about and love and want to share with you.
In the next few months we will be announcing more of the bands that we have booked as we build up the spring 2026 event. We chose Manchester Academy because it’s relatively easy to get to and because all the stages are in the same building, so it will be easy getting from one band to the next, and also will be easier to hang out and see everybody.
We have some great bands to announce soon and can’t wait to share them with you!
