Join me at this protest to raise awareness of chicken welfare!Back in 2019, KFC promised to switch to slower-growing breeds in place of fast-growing Frankenchickens by 2026. They received tonnes of positive publicity for this at the time. But last year they went back on that pledge.We're now calling on KFC executives to ask them if not now, when? What the cluck they are waiting for?!What the event will involve:We will meet outside KFC at 12pm on Sunday 16th November. This KFC is in Manchester city centre, just off Picadilly Gardens.When everyone arrives I will introduce myself and tell you a bit more about THL UK. Then we’ll start our protest! All materials are provided, so just wear suitable clothing for the weather.We’ll be standing outside with placards, and handing out information about chicken welfare, and encouraging positive conversations amongst the public.At the end we can go grab some vegan food together if people are up for itNot only will you meet a great group of like-minded individuals, but you’ll also be directly helping to reduce animal suffering.This event is open to anyone who believes in our mission: to end the abuse of all animals raised for food. You do not need to be a current volunteer or affiliated with THL UK in any way, everyone is welcome. You don’t have to be vegan to attend this event.We’ve picked a site we believe to be accessible for wheelchair users but if you would like to double check your accessibility needs please contact the organiser, who will be happy to help.
