JoyRiders women's Beginners Plus ride, Alexandra Park to Station South

Join us for ride to Station South, Levenshulme. We will be cycling From Bembe Cafe in Alexandra Park at 10am, on quite roads and cycle paths at a relaxed pace. We will cycle a total 8 mile, stopping half way for refershments that you can buy or bring your own. Returning back to Alexandra Park 1pm

The closest gate for the cafe at Alexandra Park is where Springbridge Road Demesne Road meet, where there is free on road parking.

• Ride: Beginners PLUS

• Length: 8 miles return

• Average speed: Relaxed pace, moderate at 6-7 mph that suits the slowest rider.

• Cyclist: Riders who are happy on tracks, shared cycle paths and quiet roads.

• Suitable for all bike types including road bikes, the terrain has tarmac paths.

• All our rides have a leader & backstop that are first aid trained, so nobody gets left behind.

• Read all the information before signing up. Check that the miles and pace are something you have done comfortably in the last couple of months.

• let us know if you would not like to be in any photos that we may share on social media.

• Answer all questions on Eventbrite for your free ticket. Failure will result in the ticket being cancelled.

• Please provide emergency contact details of someone who can drive and pick you and your bike up.

Please be on time as we are not able to wait for latecomers.

Please bring with you:

• A helmet if you wish to wear one

• Water

• Gloves to protect hands, full fingers as the weather gets colder.

• Riders should be dressed in comfortable clothing suitable for the day's weather.

• Sunglasses or clear lenses to protect eyes from flying insects.

• Money and card for the Cafe if you wish to buy something (some cafes only accept one of these)

• A bike lock

• A spare inner tube that fits your tyres by checking the tyre wall for details of size.
• Check your bike at least the night before the ride and on the morning that the tyres are correctly inflated to the minimum or maximum pressure by using a track pump with a guage. Tyres need reinflating monthly.
• Check your brakes work.

Please check your route to get to the beginning before the ride. Allow yourself plenty of time to find parking and remove bike.

Note: You MUST answer all Eventbrite questions to secure a ticket.

Continual no shows & late cancellations will affect future bookings.

If for any reason you're no longer able to attend, we kindly ask that you cancel your free ticket a few days before. The rides are popular and extremely limited and we can offer your place to another rider.
