# Event Details - **Event Name**: Join CyanLines for our next FREE guided walk - Meadows, Monuments and Music - **Event Start and End Date**: Sun, 28 Jun, 2026 at 10:00 am – Sun, 28 Jun, 2026 at 12:00 pm - **Event Description**: Come and join us for our fourth guided CyanLines walk exploring the River Irk and some of Manchester's newest green spaces.About this EventOn Sunday June 28th, we’ll embark on our next CyanLines walk down the nature-rich River Irk.Led by tour leader Jonathan Schofield, the walk will start in Queens Park in Harpurhey, 2.5 miles north of Manchester city centre (the Queens Road Metrolink stop is just a few minutes' walk from the park entrance), one of the oldest public parks in the UK. From here, we’ll meander down the River Irk’s north bank a couple of miles, taking in 'Lowry’s steps’ until we reach the newly regenerated St Catherines Wood. Historic Angel Meadows and Angel Square’s perennial gardens will then drop us into the thriving new neighbourhood of NOMA and a flourishing city gardening project. On our final leg of the walk, we’ll pass through Manchester Cathedral's Gardens and the poignant memorial to the victims of the Manchester Arena bomb before our final stop - Manchester’s Victoria Station.You can follow the route at Komoot:https://www.komoot.com/tour/2518066477Key Details:Date and time: Sunday 28th June, 10am.
