- **Event Description**: We are nature and everything is connected.About this EventA different approach to gut healthIn a world full of noise about what we should be doing for our health, this is something simpler.Fermentation is both science and art, but somewhere along the way, we’ve lost the art. These workshops are not another thing to add to your routine. They are a space to slow down, work with your hands, and reconnect to food, to nature, and to each other. Why fermentation?Fermentation wasn’t created for gut health, it was created for survival. Before fridges, it was how we preserved food, reduced waste, and carried nourishment through the seasons. In a culture that pulls us towards speed and convenience, fermentation becomes something quietly radical. A way of rebuilding resilience - one jar at a time. What we’ll do togetherThis is a hands-on, shared experience - where learning happens through doing. In each workshop, we will:Learn the fundamentals of fermentationExplore gut health in a grounded, accessible wayMake two seasonal ferments (usually a kraut and a chutney or dip)Spend time chopping, mixing and creating side by sideYou’ll leave with your own jars, and the confidence to do it again at home. What’s includedA fermented drink on arrivalHerbal teas throughoutA mid-workshop snack (with something fermented, of course)Two (or more) jars of your own ferments to take homeAfter the workshop (optional)For those who want to, we’ll take a gentle walk around Chorlton Water Park, a chance to chat, stretch our legs, and be in nature. The detailsSmall, intimate groups (maximum 9 people)Gathered around one tableHands in the bowl, learning togetherWho’s hostingI’m Rosie, a Naturopathic Nutritional Therapist with nearly a decade of experience. I’ve stepped away from 1:1 work to create spaces like this, where we can slow down, use our hands, and share knowledge and wisdom in a way that feels human again.I run bi-monthly workshops in Chorlton, Manchester - including both mixed (Fermenting and Gut Health) and women-only sessions (Fermentation and Seasons Workshop).   https://cdn-az.allevents.in/events2/banners/01637a90-340a-11f1-99a0-e133baf342d3-rimg-w1200-h600-dcf9f2e0-gmir.jpg

"description": "I’ve always had an interest in people, which initially lead me to a career in Human Resources. Although I enjoyed my job, I always had the desire to something I was passionate about, and in my early 20s I realised that was health and nutrition.\nI took the leap and decided to study a 3-year course in Naturopathic Nutrition at the college of Natural Medicine (London). I started my studies in September 2014 and I haven’t looked back since. I am so fortunate to have found my calling, not only in nutrition but also in the biochemistry of the body – I am constantly amazed at our body and it's capabilities given the right environment. \nI have changed my own health through food - I used to see food and weight regulation as the single most important aspect of health. I never thought I would be able to use food and natural therapies to heal my hormonal imbalance (heavy and painful periods) and acne through diet and lifestyle changes. What you can do when you start to see food as medicine is truly amazing. \nWhen I graduated from CNM I worked for the NHS on a Diabetes Prevention Programme (called X-PERT) which was a mix of nutrition advice and group coaching. I learnt loads but I knew I wanted to open my private practice, supporting women to achieve their health goals.\nThis is a dream come true. I love my job and feel privileged every day that individuals let me in to their lives at a time they feel most vulnerable and allow me to support them through their health challenges. \nA little bit more....\nI live in Manchester (Chorlton) with my husband Ben and 2 kids (Theia and Iver). I enjoy reading, all the books I read are non-fiction and tonnes of nutrition (obviously), female health (obviously) and human behaviour books. There is nothing minimalist about my book shelves, but as Marie Kondo says 'If they bring you joy, keep them!' and they bring me so much joy! "
