Defences is an Alternative Metal band hailing from Hertfordshire, UK,
featuring Cherry Duesbury (vocals), William Young (keys, vocals),
Calum Wilmot (guitar), and Kyle Parke (drums). Known for their
powerful sound and emotive lyrics, the band has released three
full-length albums, two EPs, and numerous singles. Their music has
garnered millions of streams, with high fan engagement reflected in
tens of thousands of saves and playlist additions.
In 2024, Defences released seven singles from their latest album,
Shadowlight, their first under Long Branch Records. The tracks have

with highlights including their 2024 UK headline tour, a debut
