However, social care practitioners apply for these opportunities less frequently than health practitioners.This interactive workshop, aimed at operational and strategic leadership in social care aims to explore why this might be, drawing on individual and organisational experience across adults and children’s social care. It will explore the organisational benefits of developing a research-minded and capable workforce, drawing on perspectives from across the sector, provide guidance and information about the funding and support available from the NIHR Academy and the Research Support Service and explore effective strategies for and barriers to involvement across the region.
