But Cressida’s Tale follows this anti-heroine’s journeys from mythic Troy to England’s royal court, the bitter cold of the Scottish coast, and an Elizabethan London seething with anti-migrant rage. In the process, it discovers a Cressida for our own times: a girl with a gift for resilience and reinvention.

In a world where the lives of strangers and survivors are weighed and traded for political gain, this Cressida is determined to define her own value.
