Join in our annual Women's Self Defense Workshop. Did you know October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month?
If you've ever debated taking a women's self defense workshop this is your sign to register for this one day workshop in Manasquan, NJ.
This four hour experience is $79 and includes all handouts. Please arrive by 10:15 am.
The class will be a mix of discussion and practice. All women are welcome; it is not required to perform the techniques, although you will get more out of the experience by practicing them.
The workshop is held on the dojo mats at the Aikido Center of Manasquan, which is a part of Manasquan Recreation. The dojo is located in Room 1 of the St. Denis School, next to the gymnasium.
No shoes are allowed on mats; bare feet are recommended (socks are slippery on the mat) and remove jewelry. Please be sure to bring water, a snack if needed, and an open mind.
This workshop is open to all women; the recommended age is 16+. Sensitive topics will be discussed, and you will practice the techniques shown using kick pads and, at the end, against an actual attacker (a very kind dojo member, who gears up in the "red man padded suit" and graciously allows us to beat them up).
• Build Self Confidence
• Apply Control & Compliance Techniques against an attacker
• Understand Use of Force Concepts
• Identify Vulnerable Areas
• For All Women
Please send a message if you have any questions. Space is limited; sign up before the class is full.
