- **Event Description**: Since 2016, the Adirondack Center for Writing has invited writers of all ages and experience levels across the North Country to submit poems for publication and installation in storefront windows throughout Saranac Lake during National Poetry Month.

Beginning in 2024, all accepted Poem Village poems have also been displayed in Malone in collaboration with the Downtown Artist Cellar and throughout St. Lawrence County in collaboration with the St. Lawrence County Arts Council.

Poem Village is an annual, village-wide beautification project that gives writers of all ages and backgrounds the opportunity to publish their work and share it with passersby, visitors, and North Country neighbors — transforming everyday streets into spaces for reflection, creativity, and connection.

Submissions are open January 12 – March 6, 2026. Submissions & Guidelines can be found on the Adirondack Center for Writing website here:
