Ten days after reporting his wife missing, Daniel Corban is visited by a young priest who claims to have found her. When Daniel’s ”returned” wife arrives, she is a stranger, and insists she is his beloved Elizabeth. As the situation twists tighter, Daniel becomes convinced he is ensnared in a sinister conspiracy. With the police inspector dismissing his pleas, he is left to wonder: are they trying to drive him mad…or maybe to his death?
