Get ready, Maldon! 🎉 Light Up Maldon 2025 is happening on Thursday, November 27th, from 5pm to 9pm! We're bringing back all the magic and festive fun you loved last year, and then some!
What to Expect:
✨ Christmas Lights Switch-On at 6pm: This year we have brand new lights! Join the Town Mayor and special guests as we officially light up Maldon High Street for the festive season!
🛍️ Bustling Street Stalls: Explore a fantastic array of market stalls lining the High Street, packed with unique gifts, local treasures, and delicious hot food and drinks.
🎨 Charming Indoor Craft Markets: Dive into even more shopping inside the Town Hall, All Saints Church, The Maeldune Centre, and Moot Hall. You'll find talented local artisans showcasing their handcrafted goods and festive decorations – perfect for finding that special something!
🎤 Enchanting Entertainment: The air will be filled with festive cheer thanks to our amazing local performers! Expect everything from joyful carols by school choirs and musical performances to captivating displays. Last year we had "The Big Sing," an Elvis tribute, the Maldon & District Dramatics Society, and so much more – so get ready for a fantastic variety!
🎅 Santa's Grotto: A traditional Santa's Grotto will be back for the little ones to share their Christmas wishes!
Support Local & Free Parking!
We're all about supporting our fantastic local businesses! Many will have stalls outside their shops, and we'll have plenty of opportunities for other Maldon District traders, community groups, and local charities to join in the fun.
Parking will be available in Friary Fields, Butt Lane, White Horse Lane, and Promenade Park car parks.
