Charity Night in Aid of DEBRA & Hugo Duggins-Jones
Join us for a memorable evening of celebration, community, and compassion at our Charity Fundraising Night, raising vital funds for DEBRA – the skin blistering charity – and Hugo Duggins-Jones.
Hugo is a cheeky little 4-year-old and the son of JFA Committee member, Charlie who was sadly diagnosed with Hereditary Ataxia with childhood onset, related to the ITPR1 gene at 17 months old. His neurologist has advised us that they cannot predict how this condition will affect him in the future, but we have had confirmation through further testing to say that his condition is degenerative. Unfortunately, there is no cure, but we have been encouraged to focus on therapies for Hugo, including physiotherapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy.
Set in the vibrant atmosphere of Jammers Sports Bar in Maldon, Essex, this special event promises a fantastic night out while supporting an incredibly important cause. A repeat of last years event, but this one will be bigger and better!
WHY WE’RE COMING TOGETHER
This Charity Ball is proudly supporting a 50-mile sponsored walk over two days, taking place on Friday 10 April and Saturday 11 April 2026, from Wembley Stadium in London to the Drewitt-Barlow Stadium, ahead of Maldon & Tiptree's home match against Mildenhall Town. Every ticket purchased helps fundraise for DEBRA’s vital work supporting those living with painful genetic skin blistering conditions, as well as supporting Hugo Duggins-Jones.
