But a giro is only as good as how you enter it, and that's exactly what this series builds: clean entries from the forward cross and the back cross, and the sensation of circularity that makes a turn feel effortless for both partners. From there we add the vocabulary that makes turns interesting — parada, sandwich, mordida, barrida — the embellishments that turn a technical figure into a conversation. If you've got your walk, ochos, and pivots, this is the series that makes you feel like you're really dancing. What you'll learn:*Entry & circularity*• Sensation of circularity in the lead and follow• "Same front" — upper-body torsions• How to accommodate and accompany your partner• Opposition in a flat plane — forward step and back step• Curving the opposition (open/side step, forward/back cross)• The feel of open versus cross movement*Giros & elements*• Giro in the cross system (4:4, each step accompanied) from back and forward crosses• Changing the direction of the giro• Parada (the stop)• Sandwich• Mordida / syncopated step• Basics of barrida and arrastre• Bicycle and hamaca — control of the axis~ Intermediate level — comfortable with ochos, pivots, and the molinete~ Singles and couples both welcome~ Open to anyone 21 and olderArgentine Tango — Intermediate Series 2: Giros · Fall 20268 weeks · 90 minutes each Sunday · In-person · Malden, MA349 Washington St, Malden, MA 021482-min walk from Oak Grove T stop · 50 parking spots on siteSundays 2:30–4pmFull 8-week course — $199 · Drop in — $40Spots are limited — each person registers individually.More info: https://www.ultimatetango.com/intermediateRegister: https://UltimateTango.as.me/Intermediate-Course-Sept-Oct...https://youtu.be/1ixN65MZrO8https://youtu.be/FnZfdc7bamI - **Event URL**: https://allevents.in/malden/giros-paradas-and-barridas-intermediate-class/100001995051954100 - **Event Categories**: workshops - **Slot details of has slots**: - **Interested Audience**: - total_interested_count: 0 - **Event Highlights**: - Duration: 1 hour 30 minutes - Location: Ultimate Tango New Location - Languages: English ## Ticket Details - **Ticket Price Range**: min: 44.52, max: 214.19, currency: USD ## Event venue details - **city**: Malden - **state**: MA - **country**: United States - **location**: Ultimate Tango New Location - **lat**: 42.439466 - **long**: -71.071432 - **full address**: Ultimate Tango New Location, 349 Washington St, Malden, United States ## Event gallery - **Alt text**: Giros, paradas and barridas (Intermediate Class) - **Image URL**: https://cdn-az.allevents.in/events8/banners/b1ba8d8b2397bf1cd13fdfaa9926fa85d95ca0dddc6cdfff920e325916f00de3-rimg-w1200-h674-dc080808-gmir.jpg?v=1790803083 ## FAQs - **Q**: When and where is Giros, paradas and barridas (Intermediate Class) being held? - **A:** Giros, paradas and barridas (Intermediate Class) takes place on Sun, 06 Sep, 2026 at 02:30 pm to Sun, 27 Sep, 2026 at 02:30 pm at Ultimate Tango New Location, 349 Washington St, Malden, United States. - **Q**: Who is organizing Giros, paradas and barridas (Intermediate Class)? - **A:** Giros, paradas and barridas (Intermediate Class) is organized by Ultimate Tango. - **Q**: What has been the experience of attendees at Ultimate Tango's events? - **A:** Ultimate Tango has 151+ followers on AllEvents, reflecting a trusted and active community of event-goers who follow their events.
