Whether you are active or retired—as a firefighter, EMT, paramedic, dispatcher, or law enforcement officer—you and your family are invited to join us for an unforgettable celebration under the stars. This event is also for the community that they serve. Event Highlights Include: Live music by The Last Minute Band Special appearances by the 501st Legion Star Wars costuming group. Delicious eats from a local food truck Full access to our array of telescopes, including our 16" and 11" catadioptrics, a 6" APO refractor, and the amazing 12" RC in the Miller Astrophotography Research Center. Daytime activities: safe solar viewing, hands-on “make-and-take” projects for kids, and interactive astronomy presentations for all ages Don’t forget to meet “Mike the Meteorite”, our real-life celestial traveler—you can hold a piece of space in your hands!
