On 15 June 2018, ArtistSpace presents INDISTINCT Photography and Mixed Media Works, the seventh solo exhibition of German photographer and visual artist, Sven Pfrommer. INDISTINCT Photography and Mixed Media Works shows a range of works from his “Human Blur” series, selected works from his “Abstract Landscape” series, and a portrait photo installation.

With Sven’s “Human Blur” series, he is reducing humans to blurred silhouettes, making them no longer identifiable. Passersby and people on the move turned into blurred sequences where they become abstract figures.

Sven is interested in the abstract element of humans, the reduction to the form. Since 2002, he is exploring the human silhouette as a graphic element, reducing the human personality to superimposed layers with a play of light and colors. 

About the Artist 
Photographer and visual artist Sven Pfrommer is an observer, and an experienced traveller. His artworks often begin with photographs taken on his journeys, transformed with different paint and mixed media techniques. 

Sven was born in 1965 into a family of artists in former West Berlin, Germany. He has studied visual communication in Germany, and earned the distinction to be a British Council scholar for visual art at The Royal College of Art, London. 
While working as a commercial art director and a photographer, Sven has also focused the past eighteen years on his artistic career. He established his own gallery for contemporary art in the art capital Berlin a decade ago. He has been teaching photography, art and design in Asia for a few years. His works has been shown in various galleries and art fairs worldwide, and has been awarded the German Walter Thiemann prize. He has done commission works for car, fashion and hospitality industries, and architecture projects.

INDISTINCT Photography and Mixed Media Works will be on view at the ArtistSpace from 15 June to 28 June 2018 with an Artist Reception on 15 June 2018. ArtistSpace is located at the Ayala Museum Annex, Ground Level, Makati Avenue corner De La Rosa Street, Makati City. It is open from Mondays to Sundays, 10 AM to 7 PM. Admission is free.
