CE credits for Licensed Psychologists.About this EventJoin us for a dynamic, evidence-based training designed to equip mental health professionals with the clinical knowledge and practical tools needed to accurately identify and effectively treat Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) and related conditions.Led by Dr. Rashesh Dholakia, MD, MPH and Dr. Gwilym Roddick, DSW, LCSW, this in-person training brings together psychiatric and psychotherapeutic expertise for a rich, interdisciplinary learning experience.What You'll LearnBy the end of this training, participants will be able to:✅ Apply DSM-5-TR diagnostic criteria to reliably diagnose Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD), distinguish OCD from other anxiety and mood disorders, and identify Obsessive-Compulsive and Related Disorders (OCRDs) as defined in the DSM-5-TR✅ Describe the prevalence, clinical course, and burden of OCD, including epidemiology, age of onset, comorbidity, functional impairment, and impact on individuals, families, and communities.✅ Identify and explain evidence-based psychotherapeutic treatments for OCD, with an emphasis on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), including core treatment components and mechanisms of change.✅ Describe evidence-based pharmacological treatments for OCD, including first-line and second-line Medic*tion classes, dosing considerations, treatment timelines, expected response, and common side effects, within an interdisciplinary and collaborative care framework.✅ Integrate psychotherapeutic and pharmacological approaches to inform clinical decision-making, including indications for CBT alone, Medic*tion alone, or combined treatment, and summarize emerging, adjunctive, and non-pharmacological interventions for OCD.
