VE Day 80 Exhibition - Maidstone BC

Explore this fascinating exhibition exploring everyday life on the Home Front during World War II.

Discover the women who served in the Fire Service or worked the land with the Land Army, rationing, utility clothing, which areas experienced bomb damage, and how the town celebrated on VE Day in 1945.

Share your own stories and memories of conflicts (past and present), which will be turned into bunting with the help of students from Maidstone Girls Grammar School and displayed in the town later this year.
