The newly named Beat the Sunset 50km is back for 2025! Start between 12:00 & 12:30 and make the finish line by the time sunset falls, at 9:12pm. Simple.

We use a stunning, and flat, multi terrain 50km course that takes in the Thames Path, Jubilee River, Green Way & more.

The course is fully marked, so no navigation is required. There are four checkpoints on course, fully stocked with snacks and drinks, and you can opt for your own favourite nutrition to be taken to checkpoints 3 & 4.

All finishers receive a chunky medal and Beat the Sunset mementoes. There's free car parking, free race photos, chip timing, free live tracking and a bar within metres of the finish line!

The generous cut off times and flat course make this ideal for newcomers to the world of ultra marathon.
