Join St. John's Lutheran Mother & Daughter Choir for their 17th annual concert in support of the local food banks!
Come and join these spirited mums and daughters for a joyful presentation of "Sweet Chiming Christmas Belles!” a wonderful evening of Christmas Choral music with rich harmonies and instrumentation.
When? Saturday, December 20, 2025 at 7:30 pm
Where? In the beautiful candlelit atmosphere of St. John's Lutheran Church, Mahone Bay (the middle of the three iconic waterfront churches)
With a mix of voices from the very young to the more seasoned, this wonderful group of singers creates a beautifully blended sound with lots of character. They’re putting together a varied program, from reflective pieces to lighthearted, lively tunes. There will be something for everyone and the audience will also be treated to featured performances by St. John's Lutheran Bell Choir, our young daughters, as well as the appearance of a very special guest!
In addition to the 30+ mums and daughters, there is a great line-up of instrumentalists including principal accompanist Rebecca Rock (piano); Hannah Parks (piano); Susan Calkins (flute); Kerri Dorey (clarinet/saxophone); Alison Sheffield (trumpet); Allison Ernst (violin); Colin Nealis (string bass); and Hamilton Maguire & Jayme Keddy (percussion).
We are very excited to offer this joyous program and, as always, we hope to fill the church with people, people's hearts with the Christmas spirit, and ultimately the foodbanks' Christmas stockings!
