My name is Jennifer Crawley and I am a mom, daughter, sister, partner, co-worker and friend. I am also currently battling a cancer recurrence. 
My journey began in 2018 when I was diagnosed with stage 3 c1 endometrial cancer. After surgery, chemo and complications from chemo the decision was made to stop treatment. A month later in May of 2019 I received a clear scan. Life moved on and all was well….
In November of 2023 I went for my five year scan to be released from the doctor. At that visit I was informed that they saw an area of concern near the location they had done surgery in 2018. And the process began again. Since November of 2023 I have been through immunotherapy, more scans than I can count, doctor visits, second opinion visits and searches to find something that will help treat the recurrence. Due to its location surgery isn’t possible. My options at this point are a special kind of brachytherapy and more immunotherapy. 
This is why I am writing you.
The immunotherapy is a new therapy they want to try because it targets my kind of cancer specifically. However it is not covered by my insurance. The brachytherapy will be partially covered but will also require me to travel to either Wake Forest or Michigan for the treatment and I will have to stay for two weeks. Both of these are large expenses. My place of employment, Legends Bar and Grill, has offered to have a fundraiser for me on Sunday February 15th from 4-7pm. As part of this fundraiser we will be having a raffle drawing. 
We are seeking donations of items for the raffle. If you or your business would like to donate an item it would be greatly appreciated. They can be dropped off at Legends by Wednesday February 11th or you can call or text me and I will have the donation picked up.
